Course objectives
- Understand the economic costs of gender inequality, implement gender-responsive budgeting, promote women’s financial inclusion, and empower women in key sectors.
- Recognize the importance of women’s political participation and leadership, promote gender parity in leadership, and develop action plans to advocate for women’s empowerment.
- Understand Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and its root causes, and design and advocate for policies to prevent and respond to GBV.
- Assess the gendered impacts of climate change, integrate gender considerations into climate policies design, actions and climate finance.
- Identify barriers to Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) and their connection to gender inequality, and design and advocate for inclusive SRHR programmes.
