Course overview

With more than 50 years of experience in Problem-Based Learning and educational innovation, Maastricht University is internationally recognised for its student-centered approach to education. During this onsite workshop, participants are introduced to the key principles of the Maastricht educational model and explore how student-centered learning can be designed, managed, and assessed in practice.
The programme combines theory, practical examples, and interactive discussions with SHE experts, offering participants the opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss educational challenges, and reflect on their own teaching and learning environments. The workshop also serves as an accessible first introduction to SHE and may be a stepping stone towards further professional development opportunities, such as the Master of Health Professions Education (MHPE) or a PhD programme.
